No idea where this is but it’d be interesting to know what sort of effect (both positive and negative) all those wrecks would have on the surrounding area and it’s wildlife. I’d hope that they’d become artificial reefs!
This is Tangalooma on Moreton Island, which is now a thriving scleractinian-based reef with similar diversity to the nearby Flinders Reef (one of the most diverse reefs outside of the Tropics, and to the best of my knowledge the most diverse in Australia outside of the Great Barrier Reef). It’s home to all sorts of cool stuff, up to and including several species of reef shark, Mantas, and even Whales. Pretty special place and one which is very close to my heart.
